Chennai’s biggest Coastal Cleanup drive is here and you can be part of it too

Chennai Trekkers is organizing the 8th edition of Chennai Coastal Clean up this June 18th. In this largest clean up drive in Namma Chennai, the target is to clean up 20 km of Chennai coastline, with the help of 10,000 volunteers.

The 8th edition had many initiatives spanning 2 months, spreading awareness to sensitize the public on a greener tomorrow and ends with a mega beach clean up on June 18th.

The Chennai Trekking Club is a non-profit volunteer based organization which organizes regular outdoor, sports and environmental events to create awareness on a more active, healthier and greener future. With more than 40 thousand members and hundreds of events, the NGO reach out to tens of thousands of people each year. There other major annual events include CTC Green Day, Chennai Trail Marathon, Chennai Triathlon and Jawadhu Hill Ultra.
