Chennai Traffic Police has yet again proven their quick thinking and efficiency when their timely help saved a business man who suffered a cardiac arrest inside his car near the Tidel Park Junction.
The incident happened on Wednesday evening when Vikas, a 47 year old business man from T Nagar, was returning home from OMR. He felt uneasy on the way and parked the car by the roadside. Traffic enforcement police inspector CK Ravi spotted the business waving for help from a half-opened window.
Sensing an emergency, Mr.Ravi rushed to the car and found Vikas struggling to breathe. He engaged police constable L Sampath and they together rushed Mr.Vikas to Adyar hospital in his car. He was admitted to the hospital within 10 minutes after the incident and Mr.Sampath kept talking to Vikas to keep him conscious.
Vikas is now under treatment and the Chief Cardiologist at the hospital Dr.Manoharan said saving him would have been difficult if he was brought in 2 minutes later.
The two traffic policemen were commended by the higher officials of City Traffic Police for their quick thinking that saved a life.
