City residents can now lodge their grievances online through Namma Chennai mobile app launched by Chennai Corporation. The app, that is currently available in Android platform, was launched by Municipal administration and water supply minister, S P Velumani. The complaints registered through the app will then be assigned to the appropriate department and officer.
Currently, residents have to either dial 1913 or navigate the local body’s website to lodge the complaints.
The app will also provide instant updates on the status of the complaints lodged. Users can log the complaints along with pictures. There will also be options for the users to get statistics of the number and type of complaints logged from a particular zone and also to receive new updates from the civic body.
