The lighthouse at Marina beach is the only one in India within the city limits and it offers one of the best views in the city. Taking in the stunning view of Chennai from atop the lighthouse will leave one speechless and it’s one thing every Chennaiite should experience, at least once!

The lighthouse located on beach road, opposite to the office of the Director General of Tamil Nadu Police is open to public on all days from 10 am – 1 pm & 3 pm – 6 pm, except Monday, for an entry fee of Rs.10. Also, this is one of the very few lighthouses with an elevator.
